President’s Reserve Shiraz – CabSav Estate Wine, 2019
“Little wonder that the president coverts this wonderful bin. Vibrant and vigorous with rose petal aromas backed up with a palate which is lithe and youthful with Shiraz’s spicey fruit and Cabernet’s juicy currants and super-elegant tannins.”

History
Colonel William Light, founder of Adelaide and first Surveyor-General of South Australia, traversed our estate on 13th December 1837, when exploring the north-east of Adelaide. On this historic occasion, he named our town Lyndoch and the surrounding hills Barossa. The Barossa Colonel Light Monument, a life-size bronze statue of Colonel Light on horseback, and the iconic Barossa Manor commemorate the birthplace of the world-famous Barossa wine region on our estate. Generations of our winemakers have dedicated their work to this grand tradition, embodying our heritage of outstanding winemaking in every bottle.
This wine is named after James Hurtle Fisher, first President of the Upper House of the Parliament of South Australia and first Mayor of Adelaide, who laid the foundation stone of the monument to Colonel Light in Light Square in 1843. In 1860 he was the first resident South Australian to be knighted.
