Southeast Notes Sauvignon Blanc, 2021
“Zesty and fruit-packed. Those Sauvignon blanc hallmarks of passionfruit and nettles cut through with brisk acidity make this a perfect partner with pesto pasta dishes and grilled fish. There’s enough about this wine to match with lightly-spiced Thai”

History
Colonel William Light, founder of Adelaide and first Surveyor-General of South Australia, traversed our estate on 13th December 1837, when exploring the north-east of Adelaide. On this historic occasion, he named our town Lyndoch and the surrounding hills Barossa. The Barossa Colonel Light Monument, a life-size bronze statue of Colonel Light on horseback, and the iconic Barossa Manor commemorate the birthplace of the world-famous Barossa wine region on our estate. Generations of our winemakers have dedicated their work to this grand tradition, embodying our heritage of outstanding winemaking in every bottle.
This wine is named after the flavours of the tropical fruits of Kuala Kedah, South East Asia, now Malaysia, where Colonel Light was born in 1786. He was the second child and first son of Captain Francis Light and Martinha Rozells, who was of presumed Portugese and Malay decent.
