COTTAGE DESCRIPTION
Our free-standing luxury cottages have been architecturally planned for privacy while taking advantage of impressive panoramic views over our renowned 1837 Barossa vineyards and the Barossa range, which many consider as the best views of the Barossa. Perfect for a romantic weekend in the vines!
Each self-contained cottage has access to a garden with a terrace with vineyard views and an outdoor day bed. The living room with fireplace and sofa is furnished with beautiful French antique furniture and modern design classics, adjoined by a dining area. The spacious bedroom with king size bed and a laptop desk. Living room, dining and bedroom have large windows overlooking the vineyard.
The private bathroom has a spa bath and double showers. Each cottage comes with a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge, oven, dishwasher and an outdoor BBQ. A toaster, a kettle and a Nespresso coffee machine are available in each cottage. Coffee and tea is provided. Further amenities include free Wi-Fi, 2 flat-screen TV (incl. Netflix in living room), washing machine with dryer, air conditioning and heating. An ATP sized tennis court is available at no costs for our accommodation guests. Car parking is available for free and each cottage is wheelchair accessible.
This is a self-serviced and self-contained cottage. We provide short stay from 2 nights to multiple weeks. Special rate for long term stay can be discussed with management.

The cottages are located on the spectacular 1837 Barossa estate, which includes Barossa Colonel Light Monument and Iconic Barossa Manor commemorating the birthplace of the Barossa. You will be able the walk the 1837 Barossa Art Trail, which compromises of a dozen photo friendly and very colourful modern Art sculptures. The Cellar Door and Restaurant on the estate are open Wednesdays-Saturdays 10am to late, Sundays to 5pm. Booking is recommended. Guided Vineyard Walks & Wine Experiences can be pre-booked one day beforehand.
1837 Barossa is located in Lyndoch, Barossa Valley which is only 50 minutes from Adelaide CBD. The nearest international airport is Adelaide Airport. A helipad is available on site for drop-off, pick-up and for helicopter wine tours.

SELF-CONTAINED COTTAGE
This is a self-serviced and self-contained cottage. We will not enter the cottage during your stay as we sanitize the cottage before your arrival. Towels, bathrobes, linen, bathroom amenities as well as coffee and tea for the duration of your stay are provided. For long-term stay of 7nights or more, we clean and restock the cottage once a week.
PRIVACY
We will not enter the cottage during your stay as we respect your privacy.
PAYMENT POLICY
Full payment upon booking confirmation. All bookings must provide email and mobile number to contact whilst traveling and providing the check-in information

CANCELLATION
Cancellation more than 30 days prior to arrival will receive a full refund less $80 cancellation administration fee. Less than 30 days prior to arrival forfeit the value of all nights booked and paid.
DATE CHANGE
Dates may be changed once until 30 days prior to arrival for each cottage bookings only. Adjustment in rates for dates changed may be applicable resulting in extra charges.
TRAVEL INSURANCE RECOMMENDED
We are a boutique property with most bookings made well in advance of arrival, hence cancellations often result in un-sold rooms. For this reason our cancellation policy is not flexible and we recommend all guests ensure they have travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances.
COVID-19 NOTICE
For all current and future bookings, guests unable to stay due to a new government decree restricting travel or forced quarantine relating to COVID-19, a full credit will be provided to use on alternative dates within the next 12 months.
CHECK-IN PROCEDURE
You will receive a text message on the day of arrival with the key lock code for self check-in or if you prefer meet and greet please provide ETA
CHECK-IN TIME is from 3:00pm (15:00 hours)
CHECK-OUT TIME is before 11:00am (11:00 hours)
EARLY ARRIVAL and LATE DEPARTURE
With only 3 cottages, early check-in or a late check-out is often not possible and can only be confirmed 24 hours prior to arrival or departure. If available, extra staffing costs mean arrivals before 3pm or departures after 11am are charged at $30 per hour.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
Each cottage can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults. Guests attempting to accommodate more persons than booked are forewarned they will turned away, forfeiting the full value of the booking.
ADULTS ONLY
Our cottages are designed to be a couples retreat and therefore not suitable for children or toddlers. Babies less than 12 months old are welcome, however we do not provide cots or high chairs.
NO PETS
Due to the presence of wildlife on the property pets are not allowed.
NO SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted inside the cottages. Smoking is allowed outside at the veranda of each cottage. Guests should be careful to extinguish butts fully due to bushfire risk and ensure windows/doors nearby are closed. If smoke is evident inside a building, an additional cleaning/airing charge of $300 will be applicable plus the cost on any room nights from loss of room hire.
SPA BATH USE
No additives/oils/surfactants other than the products we supply are to be added to the spa bath. If a spray tan or self-tan treatment has been applied within the last 24 hours the spa jets should not be used. Oil based products used in tan treatments can cause issues with cleaning/flushing of the spa which in some cases will incur $100 p/hour excess cleaning charge.
DAMAGES
Accidents are rare, but they happen. If you are responsible for damage during your stay, please inform 1837 Barossa. The best way to do this is by sending your contact person of 1837 Barossa a text message. If you can provide photos, that’s great.
Being upfront about damage gives 1837 Barossa as much time as possible to fix it before their next guest arrives. 1837 Barossa reserves the right to charge guests accordingly for damages.
1837 Barossa may request reimbursement: If 1837 Barossa believes that you are responsible for damage, missing items or unexpected cleaning costs, they may send you a reimbursement request. You will l have 24 hours to respond.
- If you pay the full amount, the request will be closed.
- If you pay a partial amount, decline the request or ignore the request, further action will be taken
- Upon discretion of the management an additional administration fee of $80 may apply for any damage caused
